Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an injection device which uses a low-toxicity fuel agent and is compact, and of which life does not depend on catalyst life. [Solution] An injection device comprises a combustion vessel, a fuel supply source, and a laser irradiation unit. The combustion vessel has a gas injection port. The fuel supply source includes a fuel occlusion body that can occlude ionic liquid to be supplied into the combustion vessel. The laser irradiation unit can irradiate the fuel occlusion body with laser light. With this configuration, toxicity is alleviated by using ionic liquid, and the injection device is reduced in size because a high-pressure gas mechanism is not necessary to feed the ionic liquid into the combustion vessel. Further, the injection device needs no catalysts because the ionic liquid can be ignited by a laser. Therefore, the life of the injection device is not influenced by the life of the catalyst.
