Abstract:
Provided is an injection device that allows for reduction in mental suffering among patients and easy self-injection. This injection device is provided with a housing comprising: a base member having a surface that is brought into direct contact with the skin; and an elastic top cover. Disposed within the housing are a medication-filling part that is filled with a medication and a hollow needle that opens, at one of the ends, into the medication-filling part. When an external force directed toward the base member is applied to the top cover, the top cover elastically deforms and the other end of the hollow needle is pushed through the base member. Upon removal of the external force, the top cover returns to the original shape thereof and the other end of the hollow needle is accommodated back within the housing.
