Abstract:
Disclosed is an injection molding machine provided with a tubular heating cylinder (10) wherein a screw (12) is provided on the inside of the cylinder and a heater (16) is attached on the outer periphery of the cylinder, an injection nozzle (11) attached at the tip of the heating cylinder (10) to inject a molten resin to a cavity of a die, and a double cover surrounding the outer side of the heating cylinder (10), wherein the double cover comprises a heat-retention cover (19) and a heat-shield cover (25) provided on the outer side of the heat-retention cover, a heat-retention cover attachment portion (18) having an end attached to a heat-retention cover inclination portion (22) where the heat-retention cover (19) is jointed to the heating cylinder (10) is arranged at a lower position than a heat-shield cover attachment portion (27) formed on a heat-shield cover vertical-face portion (26) where the heat-shield cover (25) is jointed to the heat-retention cover (19). By arranging the heat-shield cover attachment portion (27) at a low position to which conductive heat of the heating cylinder (10) is hardly transmitted when the entirety of the heating cylinder (10) is heated to a high temperature, the heat-shield cover (25) can be prevented from being raised to a high temperature.
