Abstract:
The present invention relates to an injector for filter of dust collector and a dust collector using the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to an injector for filter of dust collector comprising a spray tube which is open at the top and the bottom and has closed side, and has a straight section around the top end; and, a compressed medium supply pipe having on its outer surface a penetration nozzle, which contacts and combines with the straight section to face downward of the spray tube, and a dust collector using the same. According to the present invention, pressure loss is minimized thus enabling regeneration of a filter even with a compressed medium of low pressure and small flux, manufacturing is easy and the cost is inexpensive and space can be saved due to its simple structure, and especially, regeneration of a filter having a cross- section with large aspect ratio can be efficiently conducted.

Claims:

[CLAIMS] [Claim l]

An injector for filter of dust collector comprising a spray tube which is open at the top and the bottom and has closed side, and has a straight section around the top end; and, a compressed medium supply pipe having on its outer surface a penetration nozzle, which contacts and combines with the straight section to face downward of the spray tube.

[Claim 2]

The injector for filter of dust collector according to claim 1, wherein the spray tube has a pair of straight sections in bilateral symmetry on the basis of a straight line parallel to the straight section, and the injector comprises a pair of compressed medium supply pipes respectively contacting with each straight section.

[Claim 3] The injector for filter of dust collector according to claim 1, further comprising a second spray tube which is symmetrical to the spray tube on the basis of the compressed medium supply pipe.

[Claim 4]

The injector for filter of dust collector according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the spray tube has a tubular shape with a rectangular cross-section or an oval cross-section having a straight section on its side, and the straight section of the rectangle is located on the longer side of the rectangle.

[Claim 5]

A dust collector comprising a tubular shaped dust collecting filter having a closed bottom; an injector for filter of dust collector according to any one of claims 1 to 3, located on the top of the dust collecting filter; a compressed medium supply means for supplying compressed medium to the compressed medium supply tube; and, a housing equipped with the dust collecting filter and the injector for filter of dust collector inside.

[Claim 6]

The dust collector according to claim 5, wherein the dust collecting filter has an oval or rectangular cross- section, and the spray tube has a tubular shape with a rectangular cross-section or oval cross-section with a straight section on its side, the straight section of the rectangle located on the longer side of the rectangle.

INJECTOR FOR FILTER OF DUST COLLECTOR AND DUST COLLECTOR

USING THE SAME

[Technical Field] The present invention relates to an injector for a filter of dust collector and a dust collector using the same. The injector of the present invention can minimize pressure loss compared to the existing coanda injector thus enabling regeneration of a filter even with a compressed medium of low pressure and small flux, its manufacturing is easy and the manufacture cost is inexpensive due to its simple structure, and it can save a space, and especially, it can efficiently conduct regeneration of a filter having a cross-section with large aspect ratio. Generally, a dust collector is installed on the workplace where a lot of dust are generated or in an internal-combustion engine to collect and remove foreign substance contained in the medium (exhaust gas, etc.) or exhaust purified medium outside. For example, it is installed in the internal-combustion engine of a ship or an automobile, high temperature high pressure process such as incinerator, a thermal power plant, coal combustion power plant, IGCC, PFBC, etc., cement

manufacturing process, metal melting and refining process, etc. to remove dust or exhaust material and exhaust purified air outside thus preventing air pollution by dust or pollutant. In order to perform the functions of a dust collector, a filter is used, and as the filter, a bag filter, a cartridge filter or a candle filter generally- made of non-woven fabric or ceramic can be used. However, if the filter is used for a long time, a lot of dust or exhaust materials are adhered to the filter part to increase back pressure and decrease filter efficiency. Thus, it is required to intermittently or periodically spray compressed air (compressed medium) oppositely to the filter direction to shake off the pollutant such as adhered dust, etc.

For this, various injectors have been so far suggested, and a coanda injector which is capable of inducing inflow of a great quantity of air with small quantity of compressed air (compressed medium) and thus has high efficiency has been mainly used (Korean Patent Application No. 10-2000-7007177) . However, the coanda injector requires a preliminary chamber thus making its structure complicated. And, since pressure loss is generated while passing the preliminary chamber, it is substantially required to supply compressed medium of

high pressure and a great quantity of air.

Accordingly, the development of an injector with efficient and simple structure, which can be utilized for back wash of a filter of dust collector, is urgently needed.

[Disclosure] [Technical Problem]

In order to solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide an injector for filter of dust filter that can minimize pressure loss compared to the existing coanda injector thus enabling regeneration of a filter even with a compressed medium of low pressure and small flux, has a simple structure and thus can be easily manufactured at inexpensive cost, can save a space, and can efficiently conduct regeneration of a filter having a cross-section with large aspect ratio, and a dust collector using the same.

[Technical Solution]

In order to achieve the object, the present invention provides an injector for filter of dust collector comprising a spray tube which is open at the top and the bottom and has closed side, and has a straight section around the top end; and, a compressed medium supply pipe having on its outer surface a penetration nozzle, which contacts and combines with the

straight section to face downward of the spray tube.

The present invention also provides a dust collector comprising a tubular shaped dust collecting filter having a closed bottom; an injector for filter of dust collector according to the present invention, located on top of the dust collecting filter; a compressed medium supply means for supplying compressed medium to the compressed medium supply tube; and, a housing equipped with the dust collecting filter and the injector for filter of dust collector inside.

[Advantageous Effects]

Since the existing coanda injector essentially requires a preliminary chamber thus generating pressure loss while passing the preliminary chamber, it is required to supply higher pressure of compressed medium. However, according to the injector for filter of dust collector and dust collector using the same of the present invention, a preliminary chamber is removed to minimize pressure loss, and thus a filter can be regenerated with compressed medium of low pressure and small flux with the same efficiency, and due to its simple structure, its manufacture is easy, the cost is inexpensive and space can be saved.

And, a general coanda injector circularly sprays air and thus a filter with a cross section of large aspect

ratio has decreased washing efficiency, while the injector of the present invention has excellent washing efficiency for a ceramic filter with a cross section of large aspect ratio, especially excellent for a cascade comprising parallel connected multiple filters.

The present invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to drawings attached hereto. The present invention relates to an injector for filter of dust collector, which comprises a spray tube (10) which is open at the top (12) and the bottom (14) and has closed side, and has a straight section (16) around the top end; and, a compressed medium supply pipe (20) having on its outer surface a penetration

nozzle (22), which contacts and combines with the straight section(lβ) to face downward of the spray tube(lθ) .

Concrete examples of the present invention are as shown in Figs. 1 to 5. Specifically, in case the spray tube (10) has a tubular shape with its top and bottom open, the shape of the cross section can be varied without limitations only if a straight section (16) for combining with the compressed medium supply tube exists around the top end. The spray tube may have a tubular shape with a rectangular cross section as shown in Fig. 1, or it may have an oval cross section as a whole with a straight section parallel to long axis, wherein only the top end part may have a straight section and the bottom part may be of oval shape or the shape or area of the cross section may be varied from the top to the bottom. And, the top and the bottom may be wholly or partially open.

Preferably, the spray tube (10) has a rectangular cross section (not necessarily having sharp edges but including those having a rectangular shape as a whole) as shown in Fig. 1 or has a tubular shape with an oval cross section having a straight section on its side as shown in Fig. 2, because it is easy to apply for a candle shape ceramic filter with a cross section of a large aspect ratio as shown in Fig. 7 different from the existing

round shape bag filter.

And, the compressed medium supply pipe (20) has a penetration nozzle (22) (penetrating inside and outside of the compressed medium supply tube) which contacts and combines with the straight section (16) of the spray tube (10) to face downward of the spray tube (10) . As shown by arrows (dot line represents compressed medium, and a solid line represents induced external medium) in Fig. 1 to 5, if compressed medium such as compressed air is continuously supplied to the compressed medium supply tube intermittently or periodically, a part of the compressed medium is supplied to the spray tube through the penetration nozzle (22), the supplied compressed air flows downward of the spray tube, and air on top of the spray tube is induced by coanda effect, and thus, a great quantity of air is exhausted from the bottom of the spray tube and supplied to a filter, thereby enabling back wash of the filter.

The compressed medium supply tube is connected with a compressed medium supplying means, and it is not necessarily a circular tube as shown in the drawings, and it may be a tube of various shapes such as tetragon, hexagon.

And, preferably, as shown in Fig. 1, in case the spray tube has a tubular shape with a rectangular cross

section, the straight section is located on the longer side of the rectangle, and the compressed medium supply tube is contacted and connected with the longer side

More preferably, as shown in the right drawing in Fig. 2, in order to facilitate assembly and manufacture of a compressed medium supply tube and a spray tube, section of the compressed medium supply tube which combines with the spray tube (20a) and sections which do not combine with the spray tube (20b, 20c) can be separately manufactured and assembled to make up a compressed medium supply tube.

As to the penetration nozzle (22), the outer surface of the compressed medium supply tube can be flexibly extended to form a penetration nozzle (22) as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, or it can be withdrawn to a different shape to induce flow of a fluid. Especially, the penetration nozzle (22) can be made up of multiple stages

(Fig. 3 (b) ) , or it can be made up of one stage and perpendicularly withdrawn (Fig. 3 (a) ) . And, in order to increase the amount of medium (for example, air) exhausted from the bottom of the spray tube, the spray tube (10) may have a pair of straight sections in bilateral symmetry on the basis of a straight line parallel to the straight section (16), which respectively contacts with a pair of compressed medium supply

pipes (20), as shown in Fig. 4. Then, the flux of compressed medium supplied from the nozzle increases, and an area induced by the compressed medium increases, and thus a greater amount of medium can be supplied. In addition, as shown in Fig. 5, an injector may further comprises a second spray tube which is symmetrical to the spray tube (10) on the basis of the compressed medium supply pipe (20) . Then, multiple spray tubes can be operated by one compressed medium supply tube, thus increasing operation efficiency.

Moreover, an injector may be made up of continuous batch as shown in Fig. 6, wherein multiple compressed medium supply pipes having nozzles on both sides as show in Fig. 5 are arranged at regular intervals, and spray tubes are arranged therebetween so as to be supplied with compressed medium from each penetration nozzle, and thus, each compressed medium supply tube operates right and left spray tubes located therebetween. It can be applied for a cascade of serial connected multiple ceramic filters as shown in Fig. 7, wherein one spray tube is assigned to each ceramic filter, and supply pipes corresponding to the interval of ceramic filters are arranged therebetween, thereby obtaining excellent washing effect. And, the compressed medium supply pipes can be diverged from one supply pipe to supply compressed

medium in manifold forms.

The present invention also provide a dust collector using the injector for filter of dust collect according to the present invention, which comprises a tubular shaped dust collecting filter having a closed bottom; an injector for filter of dust collector as explained above, located on the top of the dust collecting filter; a compressed medium supply means for supplying compressed medium to the compressed medium supply tube; and, a housing equipped with the dust collecting filter and the injector for filter of dust collector inside. The dust collector means those using a filter such as a bag filter made of non-woven fabric or ceramic, a candle filter, a cartridge filter, etc., for example, a filter as shown in Fig. 7. The tubular shaped dust collecting filter having closed bottom includes a bag filter made of non-woven fabric or ceramic, a candle filter, a cartridge filter, etc., for example, a filter as shown in Fig. 7. The injector can be spaced from the top of the filter, or slightly inserted into the open part of the top.

In case the dust collecting filter has an oval or rectangular cross section, common coanda injector shows decreased back washing effect because it circularly supplies back washing medium. Thus, preferably, the spray tube has a tubular shape with a rectangular cross section

or with an oval cross section having a straight section on its side, and the straight section is located on the longer side of the rectangle, which increases washing effect . Examples of applying the injector of the present invention for a ceramic filter as shown in Fig. 7 are shown in Figs. 8 and 9. Fig. 8 shows arranging spray tubes in parallel with the arrangement direction of ceramic filter, and Fig. 9 shows arranging spray tubes perpendicularly to the arrangement direction of ceramic filters. The filter and injector can be perpendicularly arranged as shown in the drawings, or horizontally arranged.

The present invention is not limited to the foregoing examples and drawings attached hereto, and various modification or alteration can be made by a person of ordinary skill in the art without departing from the aspect and scope of the present invention as described in the claims appended hereto.
