Abstract:
Disclosed is an injector for a disposable intraocular lens, comprising, in a package, a seat on which an intraocular lens is seated in a spread form and sealed; a cylinder with an injection guide to make the intraocular lens having been disposed, in a spread form, at the front end of the seat being provided in a rolled form to a patient; and a plunger slidably disposed inside the cylinder, for injecting, via the injection guide, the intraocular lens on the seat. Since the intraocular lens is already preloaded in the injector, an operator can avoid the inconvenience of having to load an intraocular lens during an operation, and this prevents bacterial infection at the time of the operation and allows the operation to proceed swiftly. In one embodiment of the present invention, an injector comprises a cylinder in which a conventional intraocular lens is preloaded in a spread form, and a plunger passing through the inside of the cylinder to inject the intraocular lens into a patient’s eye.
