Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide an ink cartridge having a recyclable ink discharge port, and a method for recycling the ink cartridge. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An ink cartridge is provided with an ink container (1); a cylindrical ink discharge port (2), which has an opening section through which an ink supply needle can be inserted, and permits an ink to flow in from the ink container (1); a sealing material (4), which is arranged in the opening section and prevents the ink from leaking by being brought into elastic contact with the outer circumference of the ink supply needle upon the ink supply needle insertion; and a film (5), which permits theink supply needle to be inserted through and prevents the ink from leaking from the opening section. A sheet (3) is provided with a hole through which the ink supply needle can be inserted, and at least a part of the sheet overlaps the ink discharge port (2). The sheet is arranged between a part composed of the ink discharge port (2) and the sealing material (4), and the film (5). The sheet (3) is bonded with the film (5).
