Abstract:
Use in made of an ink composition for use in an ink-jet recorder which records dots on a recording medium with a recording head having a nozzle hole for discharging ink drops, which comprises a self-dispersion pigment having been subjected to an oxidation treatment as an ink colorant, a surfactant having an acetylene diol structure, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound selected from among 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and 2-purrolidone and a wetting agent; and an ink-jet recorder equipped with a recording head having an ink-repelling film laminated on the surface of a nozzle from which an ink is sprayed.
