Abstract:
Provided are: an ink-jet ink for impermeable substrates which is capable of recording, on an impermeable substrate, an image having excellent dryability and having excellent adhesion strength in laminating with substrates to be laminated and which has excellent suitability for re-ejection after a pause in ejection; and a method for image recording. The ink-jet ink for impermeable substrates comprises water, a resin-coated pigment, which is a pigment at least partly coated with a crosslinked resin, solvent A, which is an alkanediol compound having a boiling point of 180-200°C, and solvent B, which comprises a monohydric alcohol compound having a boiling point of 70-160°C and/or a glycol monoether compound having a boiling point of 70-160°C. The method for image recording comprises applying the ink-jet ink for impermeable substrates to record an image.
