Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: an ink jet recording device that can obtain a recorded material having an excellent appearance without color transfer even when recording upon a resin recording medium with water-based ink; and an ink jet recording method. Provided is an ink jet recording device equipped with an ink jet head for discharging a water-based ink upon a resin recording medium moving in the feed direction, and an underside heater for heating the recording medium from the surface on the underside of the surface of the recording medium that faces the head, wherein the underside heater is disposed, during printing, at a position separated by 0.05–3.0 mm from the underside surface of the recording medium. Also provided is an ink jet recording method using the ink jet recording device.
