Abstract:
Disclosed is an ink-jet recording method for recording on an ink-jet recording medium with an ink. The ink-jet recording medium comprises a support and an ink-receiving layer arranged on the support and comprising at least inorganic microparticles, a water-soluble resin and a cross-linking agent. The ink comprises at least a dye, water and a water-soluble organic solvent component. In the ink, the water-soluble organic solvent component contains a water-soluble organic solvent at a content ratio of 40 mass% or more relative to the total quantity of the water-soluble organic solvent component, wherein the water-soluble organic solvent has such a property that, when applied on the ink-receiving layer at a rate of 6.6 g/m2, the rate of the change in median diameter before and after the application is 13.0% or less, wherein the median diameter is measured by mercury intrusion porosimetry.
