Abstract:
In a method of forming aninkreceptive card substrate (46), an ink-receptive material (30) is provided. The ink-receptive material (30) includes a backing layer (34) and an ink-receptive coating (32) on a surface of the backing layer (34). Next, a card member (38) is provided. Finally, the ink receptive material (30) is laminated to a surface (40) of the card member (38) with the ink-receptive coating (32) facing the surface (40) of the card member (38). This results in the bonding of the ink-receptive coating (32) to the surface (40) of the card member (38). Additional embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices that are configured to perform the above-identified method.
