Abstract:
A printer, wherein in order to appropriately fit together a recessed part with a projecting part without requiring a user to consider the relationship of the angular positions around a shaft of a supported part of the shaft of an ink ribbon and a recessed part and projecting part formed on a support part on which the supported part fits, the printer (100) comprises: a support member (41) that has a projecting part (71) and a support hole (72) as two support parts; and a shaft (60) that has at either end a recessed part (63b) and a projecting part (65) as the supported parts that engage with the projecting part (71) and the support hole (72), respectively, the shaft (60) supporting the ink ribbon (2); the projecting part (71) being rotatable; the projecting part (71) and the recessed part (63b) being fitted together; the projecting part (71) having a portion (71d) formed in a hexagonal truncated pyramid extending in the axial core direction; and the recessed part (63b) comprising a coil spring (64) in which the inner peripheral surface (63d) is formed in a polygonal column shape corresponding to the number of corners of the truncated pyramid of the portion (71d), and in which the shaft (60) having the recessed part (63b) formed therein is elastically deformed in the retraction direction.
