Abstract:
Provided are an inkjet head capable of easily and reliably detecting seal leakage of the housing and an inkjet head manufacturing method. The inkjet head is provided with: a head tip having nozzles for discharging ink and a pressure-generating means for generating the pressure for discharging the ink from the nozzles; a wiring member in which wiring for supplying power to the pressure-generating means is formed; a housing, which has a first open section for exposing the nozzles of the head tip and a second open section for inserting the wiring member, and which accommodates therein at least a portion of the head tip with the nozzles exposed from the first open section and accommodates therein a portion of the wiring member with the wiring member drawn out to the outside from the second open section; and a sealing member for sealing the gap between the head tip and the rim of the first open section and the gap between the wiring member and the rim of the second open section. The housing is provided with a communicating port that connects the housing interior with the outside and can be opened and closed.
