Abstract:

An inkjet head provided with pressure chambers (113c) and piezoelectric elements (114b). The shape of the cross-section of the pressure chambers that is substantially orthogonal to the vertical direction comprises an arc-shaped side wall section (c1) formed on the ink supply side and a linear side wall section (c2) formed so that the width narrows gradually with increasing distance from the ink supply side. The piezoelectric elements have a displacement section (b1) and an electrode connection section (b2). The shape of the cross-section of the displacement sections that is substantially orthogonal to the vertical direction comprises: on the inside of the arc-shaped side wall section, an arc-shaped section (b11), the dimension of the cross-section that is substantially orthogonal to the vertical direction being smaller than the arc-shaped side wall section; and, on the inside the linear side wall section, a linear section (b12), the dimension of the cross-section that is substantially orthogonal to the vertical direction being smaller than the linear side wall section. The electrode connection sections are continuous with the linear sections on the side opposite to the arc-shaped section and are provided so as to overlap the side wall section of the pressure chamber in the vertical direction.
