Abstract:
An inkjet image forming device and an optical detection method. The inkjet image forming device comprises: a plurality of ink cartridges (1), a slide frame (205) capable of moving on a guide shaft (207), an optical receiving unit (210), a timing unit and a control unit (102). The present inkjet image forming device and optical detection method improve a method for detecting ink cartridge installation position, reducing or preventing situations wherein the inkjet image forming device is unable to detect whether an ink cartridge installed with a compatible ink cartridge chip is installed in a correct position, thereby preventing reduced print quality or printer damage. If a plurality of optical receiving units are arranged on the inkjet image forming device, the efficiency of detecting ink cartridge installation position can also be increased.
