Abstract:
The present invention addresses the issue of correctly performing high-speed printing.
In order to solve the issue, an inkjet printer (10) that performs printing by means of an inkjet system is provided with an inkjet head, which jets an ink droplet to a medium from a nozzle, and a jet control unit (116), which controls the ink droplet jetting performed by means of the inkjet head. The jet control unit (116) has: a drive signal output unit (118), which outputs drive signals for having the inkjet head jet the ink droplet; and a drive timing control unit (120), which is a control unit for controlling timing in which the drive signal output unit (118) outputs the drive signals, and which has the drive signal output unit (118) output the drive signals in resonance timing, i.e., timing in which the inkjet head jets the ink droplet in a resonant state with respect to the oscillation cycle of an ink meniscus at the position of the nozzle.
