Abstract:

Provided is an inkjet printer wherein ink mist can be efficiently sucked and removed. An inkjet printer is provided with: an air suction mechanism, which is composed of a suction side duct (51), which sucks air from the inlet of a suction side duct (51) that relatively moves with an inkjet head (30) by being arranged on a carriage (22) and generates an air flow toward the inlet from a space between the carriage (22) and a printing medium (M), an air suction tube (54) and a pneumatic pump; and an air blow mechanism, which is composed of a blow side duct (52) composed of a blow side duct (52) which blows air from an outlet of the blow side duct (52) that relatively moves with the inkjet head (30) by being arranged on the carriage (22) and generates an air flow toward the space between the carriage (22) and the printing medium (M) from the outlet, an air supplying tube (55) and a pneumatic pump. The inkjet printer generates, by means of the air suction mechanism and the air blow mechanism, an air flow that reaches the inlet of the suction side duct (51) by passing through the space between the carriage (22) and the printing medium (M) from the outlet of the blow side duct (52).
