Abstract:
An inkjet printer (10) equipped with: an inkjet head (33) for printing in a principal scanning direction using ink on a printing medium (90) as a result of movement in the principal scanning direction; a platen (43) for supporting from the opposite side of the inkjet head (33) using a currently-printing-section support region (43a) which extends in the principal scanning direction and is the printing medium (90) section currently being printed upon by the inkjet head (33); a print heater (46) for heating the printing medium (90) via the currently-printing-section support region (43a); and a ventilation device (50) for blowing wind from a blowing port (50b) for blowing wind toward the surface of the printing medium (90) section supported by the currently-printing-section support region (43a) and extending in the principal scanning direction.
