Abstract:
This inkjet recording device can calculate the time at which a cartridge replacement indication and an ink or solvent replenishment indication are displayed, and can notify a user of an estimated time at which the replenishment of ink or solvent is needed. The inkjet recording device is structured to provide control to: calculate the consumption amount of ink or solvent per time from information on printing contents or the number of times of printing performed per time in the past, and operating information on a pump and an electromagnetic valve; divide the remaining amount of ink or solvent by the consumption amount of ink or solvent per time; and estimate in advance the time before an ink or solvent replenish indication is issued.
