Abstract:
This inkjet recording device forms an image by jetting a main droplet (M) of an ink and a sub-droplet (S) onto a recording medium (P) from an inkjet head (241), said sub-droplet being formed separated from the main droplet (M), and being smaller than the main droplet (M). The inkjet recording device is provided with: a fan that generates an airflow in the predetermined direction between the inkjet head (241) and the recording medium (P); and a control unit that controls the fan. The control unit applies an external force by means of an air flow (F) to the sub-droplet (S) before the sub-droplet lands on the recording medium (P) by being jetted from the inkjet head (241), and controls the flow rate of the air flow (F) generated by means of the fan such that the distance between the center position of a main droplet dot formed by landing of the main droplet (M), and the center position of a sub-droplet dot formed by landing of the sub-droplet (S) separated from the main droplet (M) is small.
