Abstract:
Disclosed is an inorganic fibrous molded refractory article having high biosolubility, which is capable of achieving desired heat resistance without containing expensive ceramic fibers, alumina powder and silica powder and is reduced in the production cost and the production price. Specifically disclosed is an inorganic fibrous molded refractory article which is characterized by being formed from a material that contains 2-95% by mass of rock wool, 2-95% by mass of an inorganic powder that has a needle-like crystal structure and 3-32% by mass of a binder. It is preferable for the inorganic fibrous molded refractory article that the inorganic powder having a needle-like crystal structure has an average length of 1-3,000 μm and an aspect ratio of 1-1,000. It is more preferable for the inorganic fibrous molded refractory article that the inorganic powder having a needle-like crystal structure is a wollastonite powder or a sepiolite powder.
