Abstract:
An input device having a housing, an operation unit, a vibration member, a piezoelectric element, a pick piece, and a signal-processing unit. The operation unit is movable in relation to the housing. The vibration member is elastic, and has a first end part secured in part to the housing and a second end part provided in such a way as to be able to vibrate. The piezoelectric element is provided to the housing. The piezoelectric element converts the vibration energy of the vibration member when the vibration member vibrates into electric energy. The pick piece flicks the vibration member in linkage with the operation unit and thereby causes the vibration member to vibrate. The signal-processing unit operates upon receiving the electric power generated by the piezoelectric element, and transmits notification information, by wireless communication, that is generated in correspondence to the movement of the operation unit.
