Abstract:
An input device comprises: a detection unit (112) for detecting the operation state of an operation member (F) on an operation surface (111); a control unit (130) for performing input on a predetermined device (50) in accordance with the operation state detected by the detection unit; a first driving unit (121) for vibrating the operation surface in the plane direction of the operation surface; and a second driving unit (122) for generating ultrasonic vibration in a direction orthogonal to the operation surface. The control unit causes the first driving unit to generate, on the operation surface, vibration in the plane direction that reciprocates in the direction of a movement destination (52a) of the operation member as estimated from the operation state detected by the detection unit, and also executes vibration control such that the velocity or acceleration of the vibration is made different between the outward direction and the inward direction of the vibration in the plane direction. When activating the first driving unit and executing the vibration control, the control unit activates the second driving unit in a direction in which the velocity or acceleration of the vibration is relatively increased.
