Abstract:
To provide an input device that can easily change the type of operation which a knob 1 can perform. The input device according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a housing having an opening; a knob that is exposed to the outside of the housing along the virtual central axis passing the opening and that is operated by a user; a first support member for supporting the knob so as to enable the knob to perform a first operation; a second support member for supporting the first support member so as to enable the knob to perform a second operation; a first detection member for detecting the first operation; a second detection member for detecting the second operation; and a regulating member that regulates the movement of the second detection member and that is detachably attached to the housing. The second support member has, in the outer peripheral surface, grooves extending in the direction parallel to the virtual central axis. When the second operation by the user is to be disabled, a regulating member having ribs to be fitted in the grooves is attached, whereas when the second operation by the user is to be enabled, a regulating member without ribs to be fitted in the grooves is attached.
