Abstract:
An input device according to the present invention comprises: a touch sensor; a detection unit that detects a load through pressing on a touch surface of the touch sensor; a vibration-imparting unit that causes the touch surface to vibrate; a control unit that instructs the vibration-imparting unit to vibrate the touch surface if it has been determined that a load detected by the detection unit exceeds a prescribed pressing standard; and a timing unit that measures the elapsed time since it was determined that the load exceeds the prescribed pressing standard. The control unit switches between whether to instruct the vibration-imparting unit to vibrate the touch surface or not on the basis of an elapsed time until it is determined that the load has fallen below a prescribed release standard.
