Abstract:
According to the present invention, a computer performs processing to acquire display information relating to the display location and size of each character in text displayed by a first application, which displays text recognized from handwritten input. Then upon receiving information specifying, as a recognition unit, a portion of a first character string included in the text displayed by the first application, the computer performs processing to identify first handwritten input information, which corresponds to the first character string, from accumulated handwritten input information from which text is to be recognized, and recognize a character from the portion of the first handwritten input information corresponding to the portion of the first character string specified as the recognition unit.
