Abstract:
Disclosed are an input shaft braking system and method for reverse gear, which is used for shifting in reverse gear quickly and is simple and convenient to operate and is low in cost, wherein the input shaft braking system for reverse gear comprises: a plurality of fork frames (5), with the plurality of fork frames comprising a reverse gear fork frame (58) and a non-reverse gear fork frame, and a brake finger (46), with the brake finger being configured to be capable of engaging with and disengaging from the non-reverse gear fork frame; and the reverse gear fork frame, the non-reverse gear fork frame and the brake finger are arranged as follows: in the operating process of shifting in reverse gear, before the reverse gear fork frame drives a reverse gear shifting fork to move to a position where the gear of reverse gear engages with a transmission gear of the input shaft, the brake finger and the non-reverse gear fork frame are engaged first to achieve semi-synchronous braking of non-reverse gear and then are disengaged from each other.
