Provided is an input unit that, both when an input stick is tilted in a radial direction and when the input stick is returned to an initial position, enables force of a finger of a user to be applied smoothly to the input stick. The input device has an input stick (30). The input stick (30) has, in a topmost portion thereof, a touch part (32) touched by a thumb of a user. The top surface of the touch part (32) has an outer circumferential section (32b) that is swelled upward. The input stick (30) has: an outside region (R2) which is outside of a top T of the outer circumferential section (32b) and in which a pattern having recesses and/or projections regularly arranged is formed; and an inside region (R1) which is inside of the top T of the outer circumferential section (32b) and in which a pattern having recesses and/or projections regularly arranged is formed.
