Abstract:

An insect pest repelling coating, characterized in that it comprises a cyclopropanecarboxylate ester as a repelling agent, porous carrier particles of an inorganic oxide, a surfactant, a coating binder and a solvent. The coating exhibits, with durablility, the insect pest repelling effect to prevent the entry of an insect into the inside of a luminaire, resulting in the reduction of the effort to be expended for cleaning of the inside of a globe.
