Abstract:
Disclosed is an insert provided with an upper surface; a lower surface; a side surface which has a first side surface, and is connected to both of the upper surface and the lower surface; and a cutting blade which is located in the intersection line section between the upper surface and the side surface, and has a first cutting blade that is located corresponding to the first side surface. The first cutting blade is convex toward the upper surface in a side view, and is concave inward in a top view. Also disclosed is a cutting tool provided with said insert, and a holder wherein the insert is mounted in such a way that at least a portion of the first cutting blade thereof has a negative axial rake angle. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing a workpiece which is cut using said cutting tool.
