Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a puncture needle main body having an opening in the tip thereof and having at least the tip portion thereof formed in a hollow shape that is inserted inside a subject; optical fiber provided along the length direction of the puncture needle main body, in the hollow section of the puncture needle main body; and a photoacoustic wave generator provided in the light-emitting end of the optical fiber arranged on the tip side of the puncture needle main body, absorbing light emitted from the light-emitting end, and generating photoacoustic waves. A resin member provided in the light-emitting end of the optical fiber is formed in a shape having curvature.
