Abstract:
Provided is an endoscope (1) comprising: an active bend part (14) configured to bend in a first direction according to a bend operation by an operator; a passive bend part (15) disposed on a base end side of the active bend part (14) to bend passively by receiving an external force and not to bend according to the bend operation by the operator; and a flexible tube (13). The passive bend part (15) comprises: two first bend pieces (41a, 41b) capable of rotating about two axes of rotation (IA1, IA2) intersecting at angles (θ1, θ2) around the center axis of an insertion part (2) with regard to a second direction (RL) perpendicular to the first direction when viewing the insertion part from a leading end side; and two second bend pieces (41c, 42d) capable of rotating about two second axes of rotation (IA3, IA4) intersecting at second angles greater than first angles, with regard to the second direction.
