Abstract:
An insertion section for an endoscope has a forward end section; a first imaging means for obtaining an observation image under normal light; a second imaging means for obtaining an observation image under special light; a first objective optical system provided at the forward end section and collecting first imaging light entering the first imaging means; a second objective optical system provided at the forward end section and collecting second imaging light entering the second imaging means; a tube path having an opening provided at the forward end and ejecting liquid toward a diseased part in a body cavity. The opening of the tube path is located at a position closer to the second objective optical system than the first objective optical system. The construction improves operability by a user when he or she ejects liquid from an opening of a forward water feeding channel toward a desired diseased part.
