Abstract:

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. A diagnosing kit (10) indicating inside engine wearing status subject to intensity of amount of combustion gas passing into carter of internal combustion vehicle engine and characterized by comprising;

• a fluid reservoir (1) not having fluid permeability, having gas permeability, put into engine oil pan-oil filling cap,

• diagnosing fluid (2) in fluid reservoir (1), changing colour subject to change in pH value of medium and indicating passing gas as a result of wearing in engine combustion chamber.

2. A diagnosing kit (10) according to claim 1, characterized by comprising; at least a drop rope (3) connected to fluid reservoir (1) and providing drop into oil pan of fluid reservoir (1).

3. A diagnosing kit (10) according to claim 2, characterized by comprising a handgrip (4) on end part of drop rope (3).

4. A diagnosing kit (10) according to claim 1, characterized by comprising a fluid reservoir (1) made from CPP or BOPP film.

5. A method for diagnosing of inside engine wearing status subject to intensity of amount of combustion gas passing into oil pan of internal combustion vehicle engine and characterized by comprising the steps of;

• putting fluid reservoir (1) not having fluid permeability, having gas permeability, into a working engine oil pan /filling cap,

• if there is a change in pH value of the medium, diagnosing fluid (2) in fluid reservoir (1) changes its colour and indicates passing gas as a result of wearing in engine combustion chamber.

INSIDE ENGINE WEARING STATUS DIAGNOSING KIT AND METHOD

Technical Field

The present relates to a diagnosing kit and related diagnostic method showing inside engine wearing status subject to intensity of combusting gas amount passing into oil pan of internal combustion vehicle engines

Known Art

When combustion occurs in combustion chamber of engine, combustion gases under high pressure passes through piston ring and cylinder wall into oil pan. The rate of such passing in an engine of good status is under 0,5 %. The higher the wearing in cylinder wall ring and piston ring housings, the higher passing of combustion gas into oil pan. Combustion chamber wearing is inspected by experts by means of cylinder compression test in current case. Cylinder compression value test is a process not only requiring technical knowledge and skills but also intervention to engine and time. In addition, the values of compression test results deemed normal may vary subject to type of engine, compression rate and design. For instance, while 150 psi compression pressure result is a normal value for engine x, this value remains under service limits for y. And this causes errors and confusion in assessment of test results. For compression test, bobbin, plug, plug cable etc. of engine should be removed and not only technical equipment, long time and mastery knowledge and factory normal compression test result values range of engine should be known because of each engine has different compression values.

Patent numbered CN101520362B relates to a device for measurement of air leakage in engine pistons. Having a complex structure the device converts mechanic motion into digital signal for gas meter. Thus measurement accuracy and repeatability is enhanced. However, it is seen that showing inside engine wearing status depending on intensity of quantity of combustion gas passing into oil pan, in nature of pre-test, a simple and low cost apparatus has not been disclosed.

As a result, due to above described disadvantages and inadequacy of existing solutions it has been necessary to make development in the related art.

Purpose of the Invention

With the invention, inside engine / combustion chamber (piston, ring, cylinder way) wearing status is determined subject to intensity of quantity of combustion gas passing into oil pan of 4-stroke internal combustion vehicle engines. A diagnosing kit having engine oil reservoir, indicator solvent sensitive to exhaust gases, made from CPP film, resistant against high temperature and having high gas permeability and not having oil permeability will be used for this. The liquid in the kit changes colour subject to intensity of combustion gas quantity passing into oil pan and detects inside engine wearing status. Engine wearing status is levelled in percentage based on colour changing.

The time of giving result by the kit of the invention is about 5 minutes from reaching normal operating temperature of the engine. Kit use for vehicle buying and selling and periodical maintenances provides both time and cost advantage. The engine wearing status is determined immediately and emission values can be kept under control and environmental protection is provided.

In an embodiment of the invention, after the kit is put into oil pan (filling cap) and cap is closed by the user, a drop rope made from 2 mm HDPE film of preferably between 30 to 40 microns, flexible, resistant against tearing, breaking and heat in order to remove after test process or permanent use is used. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, end part of mentioned drop rope has a rope handgrip.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described in a manner not forming any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.

The more inside engine wearing is, the more the gas amount leaking into carter and when engine stops it remains in the engine. When this amount increases, it causes decrease in power generated by engine and causes it burns oil. When oil is exposed to high level of gases and water evaporation as a result of combustion, it starts to lose its lubricating feature. And this causes results of increase in internal wearing in combustion chamber and even immediate bearing seizure of vehicle.

The invention relates to a diagnosing kit (10) changing colour subject to intensity of exhaust (combustion) gases escaping towards oil pan and giving visual information about engine combustion chamber internal wearing.

Fluid reservoir (1) of diagnosing kit (10) is made preferably from CPP or BOPP film, measures presence and intensity of CO2 out of gasses remaining in engine, resistant against high heat, high gas permeability, not having oil permeability by means of principle of diffusion of gases. Diagnosing fluid (2) in fluid reservoir (1) changes colour subject to change in pH value of medium and indicates gas flow occurring as a result of wearing in engine combustion chamber (arising from valve or ring).

Mentioned diagnosing kit (10) is put therein by opening cap of engine oil pan (filling). Diagnosing fluid (2) comprising indicator solvent sensitive to exhaust gases in fluid reservoir (1) reacts with combustion gas passing into oil pan and changes colour according to intensity of combustion gas. Diagnosing kit (10) in oil pan is controlled at desired time intervals and wearing status inside engine can be determined. Presence of combustion gas can be controlled in a short while as soon as engine starts (like 5 minutes).

In an embodiment of the invention, after the diagnosing kit (10) is put into oil pan (filling cap) and cap is closed by the user, at least a drop rope (3) made from HDPE film of preferably between 30 to 40 microns, flexible, resistant against tearing, breaking and heat in order to easily remove after test process or permanent use is provided. While one end of drop rope (3) is connected to fluid reservoir (1), other end has a handgrip (4). Method for diagnosing of inside engine wearing status subject to intensity of amount of combustion gas passing into oil pan of internal combustion vehicle engine comprising below steps; · putting fluid reservoir (1) not having fluid permeability, having gas permeability, into a working engine oil pan /filling cap,

• if there is a change in pH value of the medium, diagnosing fluid (2) in fluid reservoir (1) changes its colour and indicates passing gas as a result of wearing in engine combustion chamber.
