Abstract:
Provided are an inspection device and an inspection method for evaporation pipes in a boiler furnace wherein the corrosion wastage of a plurality of evaporation pipes arranged contiguously to each other and extending in the vertical direction along the inner wall surface of the boiler furnace can be inspected precisely and efficiently over a wide range based on the surface profiles of the evaporation pipes measured by means of a laser displacement sensor. On the surfaces of a plurality of evaporation pipes (4) extending in the vertical direction along the inner wall surface of the boiler furnace, a scan device (14), consisting of columns (20) erected and fixed by means of magnets (18), supporting frames (28) fixed to the columns (20) and supporting a displacement sensor (12) generating laser with which the surfaces of the evaporation pipes (4) are irradiated, and a moving mechanism (31) which moves the displacement sensor (12) in the axial direction of the evaporation pipes (4) with respect to the supporting frames (28), is provided, and furthermore a signal processing device (16), for evaluating corrosion wastage by calculating the wastage amounts of the evaporation pipes (4) from the differences between the cross-sectional surface shapes of the evaporation pipes (4) informed by signals from the displacement sensor (12) and a reference shape free from corrosion wastage, is provided.
