Abstract:
Provided are an inspection device, an inspection method, and a head-up display device that make it possible to determine the presence of abnormality in input image data. The inspection device (89) inspects image data (Vd) that is for displaying an image on a HUD device (1) and that indicates red values R, green values G, and blue values B for a plurality of pixels arranged in an image area. The inspection device (89) is provided with: a brightness determination unit (81) for determining the brightness of each of a plurality of blocks into which the image area is divided on the basis of the image data (Vd); and an abnormality determination unit (82) that determines the presence of an abnormality in the image data (Vd) when the brightnesses determined for one or more of the blocks by the brightness determination unit (81) surpass a preset threshold value.
