Abstract:
An installation for flaring tubes by electro-impulsion comprises a bed (1), vertical (2) and horizontal (10) guides, means for power supply to electroexplosive cartridges (3), a generator (5) of current impulses and a control system (17). The means for supplying power to the electroexplosive cartridges (3) represents in itself a multielectrode system, which provides for flaring out a plurality of tubes with a single current impulse. For conveniently adjusting the spark gap between the electrodes (4) these are mounted on hinged protective screens (7) so that they may be angularly displaced and secured. The installation is provided with mechanisms (24), (11), (18) for rotation of a bundle (38) of the tubes, for vertical displacement of the power supply means to the electroexplosive cartridges (3) and for horizontal displacement of the vertical guide (2), those mechanisms comprising pitch setting elements, connected, through the control system (17), to the generator (5) of current impulses. On the signal by the said elements, after a programmed displacement of the power supply means and/or after a rotation of the bundle (38) of tubes, the generator (5) gives a current impulse to the electroexplosive cartridges (3). The presence of the elements, setting the pitch of displacement of the power supply means permits, without complicated readjustments, to flare tubes with their butt-ends assembled in rows, circles and spirals.
