Abstract:
A method and apparatus for installing an operating system. The method comprises: a server reads an image file of an operating system from a system provision device, the image file comprising address information of an automatic answering script file and the automatic answering script file being not stored in a position corresponding to the address information (601); and the server receives the automatic answering script file provided by the system provision device in response to that the server reads the position corresponding to the address information, and installs the operating system by using the automatic answering script file (602).
