Abstract:
Provide is an instant black tea product which contains non-polymeric catechins at high concentrations, which is further reduced in bitterness and astringency, and which produces an infusion having excellent appearance. The disclosed instant black tea product includes a beverage material which contains black tea leaves and dried green-tea extract and which is enclosed in a tea bag, and is characterized in that the mass ratio of the non-polymeric catechins to tannin in the beverage material is from 0.65 to 0.95.
