Abstract:
An instant message processing method and device. The method comprises: receiving an instant message and determining instant communication software to which the instant message belongs (S11); and when it is determined that the instant communication software is not software corresponding to a current interface, arranging and displaying the instant message on a preset edge region of the current interface together with all of other instant messages that are not processed and do not belong to the software corresponding to the current interface (S12). By means of the technical solution, a user can check all unprocessed instant messages of other instant communication software on a preset edge region of a current interface, so that when a terminal currently displays another application interface, the user can be effectively prompted about instant messages of other instant communication software, and display of another current application interface is not affected.
