Abstract:
Provided in the present disclosure is an instant messaging group management method, comprising: obtaining a metric value of at least one group dismissing factor of at least one instant messaging group to be managed; for each instant messaging group in the at least one instant messaging group, determining a group dismissing degree of the instant messaging group on the basis of the obtained metric value of at least one group dismissing factor of the instant messaging group; determining the instant messaging group having the determined group dismissing degree greater than a corresponding group dismissing degree threshold as an instant messaging group to be dismissed; and executing group dismissing processing on the determined instant messaging group to be dismissed. The use of the method can achieve timely dismissing processing on a useless group, thereby improving group management efficiency and releasing application resources.
