Abstract:
This invention provides an instrument device in which influences on the position of an indicator needle are reduced without adversely affecting the indicating characteristics or responsiveness of a main instrument unit. Said instrument device (8) comprises the following: a needle-type instrument (10) that displays the speed of a vehicle (1); a circuit board (12) that is electrically connected to said needle-type instrument (10); a case (13) that accommodates the needle-type instrument (10) and the circuit board (12); a detection target (14) that rotates together with a rotary shaft (28) to which rotation corresponding to the speed of the vehicle (1) is transmitted; a detection unit (15) that detects the rotation of said detection target (14); a magnetism-blocking cover (14a) that encloses the detection target (14), rotates together with the rotary shaft (28), and comprises a magnetic material; a bearing part (29) that rotatably supports the rotary shaft (28); and a baseplate (34) for affixing said bearing part (29) to the case (13). The baseplate (34) is made from a magnetic material, and the needle-type-instrument (10) side of the baseplate (34) is provided with an extended section (34a) that extends past the outside edge of the magnetism-blocking cover (14a).
