Abstract:
It is intended to provide an instrument for epiphytic aquatic organisms whereby
excellent epiphytic and growth properties of epiphytic aquatic organisms such
as coral can be achieved. To solve this problem, use is made of an instrument having
a sheet-shaped member and one or more fixation legs attached to the bottom side
of this sheet-shaped member, wherein at least a part thereof (preferably at least
a part of the sheet-shaped member) is made of a solidified carbonic acid which
is obtained by contacting uncarbonated Ca-containing material with carbon
dioxide and thus solidifying the material via the carbonation reaction. According
to this instrument for epiphytic organisms, the epiphytic and growth properties
of epiphytic aquatic organisms such as coral can be largely improved.
