Title:
INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTIC VALUE OF ORGANISM AND SYSTEM FOR DIAGNOSING FUNCTION OF PATH ORGAN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/090620
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A step voltage is applied between a pair of electrodes (11A, 11B) applied to the skin of an organism by a voltage applying means (12), initial quantity of a response current flowing between the electrodes (11A, 11B) is measured by an initial-quantity-of-current measuring means (21), and initial variation of response current per specified time is measured by an initial current variation measuring means (22). A data generating means (23) divides the average value of initial quantity of current by the initial current variation and generates measurement data as a function of the quotient. Consequently, the electric capacity of a base film, i.e. the electrical characteristic value indicative of the quantity of electrolyte in the vicinity of the base film, can be measured accurately when the skin of an organism is modeled by a three-element circuit.
