Abstract:
This insufflation system is equipped with an insufflation device 1 supplying gas into a body cavity of a patient, and an aspiration device 22 aspirating the gas from the body cavity at a predetermined aspiration flow rate via an aspiration tube 23. The insufflation device 1 comprises a flow rate sensor 5 for measuring the gas supply flow rate, a pressure sensor 9 for measuring the internal pressure in the body cavity of the patient, an electropneumatic proportional valve 3 controlling the gas supply flow rate, a pinch valve 21 controlling the opening-closing of the aspiration tube, and a control unit 6 calculating, from the difference between the body cavity internal pressure and the insufflation target pressure, a first target supply flow rate, and if the first target supply flow rate is smaller than a preset limit supply flow rate, opening the pinch valve 21 while controlling the electropneumatic proportional valve 3 so as to supply the gas at a second target supply flow rate, which is the sum of the first target supply flow rate and the aspiration flow rate.
