Abstract:

An insulated wire, a coil on which the insulated wire is wound, and an electric/electronic instrument using the coil, the insulated wire being characterized by having a thermoplastic resin layer (A) as a coating layer on a rectangular conductor, wherein the surface of a portion of the thermoplastic resin layer (A) corresponding to at least one side of the insulated wire cross section has at least one projection connected in the length direction of the insulated wire, the projection and a flat portion of the surface of the insulated wire cross section having the projection forming a curved section having a curvature radius of 0.01-0.75 mm, the side surface of the projection having an inclined surface that is inclined by less than 90° in relation to the flat portion of the surface of the insulated wire cross section having the projection.
