Abstract:
Provided is an insulated wire (1) which is easily reduced in the diameter and has high tensile strength, while being not susceptible to buckling. This insulated wire (1) comprises a conductor wire (2) and an insulating body (3) that covers the conductor wire (2). The conductor wire (2) has: a resin filament (21) containing a polyester resin; and a conductive layer (22) that is formed on the surface of the resin filament (21). The resin filament (21) may be a monofilament (211) or a multifilament (212). It is preferable that the polyester resin in the resin filament (21) is oriented in the axial direction.
