Abstract:
Provided is an insulating resin composition which contains: a resin component containing a first copolymer formed from ethylene and an unsaturated hydrocarbon having four or more carbon atoms, a second copolymer that is formed from ethylene and an unsaturated hydrocarbon having four or more carbon atoms, that is acid-modified, and that has a density of less than 0.88 g/cm3, and a third copolymer formed from ethylene and an acrylic acid ester or the like, the ratio of the contained amounts of the first to third copolymers falling within a specific range; and 30-100 parts by mass of a flame retardant and 1-5 parts by mass of a crosslinking aid with respect to 100 parts by mass of the resin component. Also provided is an insulated electric wire having an insulating layer formed from a crosslinked product of the insulating resin composition.
