Abstract:
An insulator for preventing lightning stroke-caused wire breakage and personal electric shock. An epoxy resin insulating support piece (1) in the insulator is located inside an insulating section and a lightning protection section; a plate-shaped electrode (2) is positioned on the side of the insulating section distant from the lightning protection section; at the lightning protection section, a zinc oxide resistor sheet (5) is fitted over the insulating support piece (1); one end of a spherical electrode lead-out part (4) is electrically connected to a spherical electrode (3), and the other end is electrically connected to the zinc oxide resistor sheet (5); the spherical electrode (3) and the plate-shaped electrode (2) are spaced apart; a silicone rubber shed housing (6) is positioned on the outer surface of the insulating support piece (1) of the insulating section and the outer surface of the zinc oxide resistor sheet (5) of the lightning protection section; a straight line where the symmetry axis of the insulating support piece (1) is located is a standard straight line; the distance from the spherical electrode (3) to the standard straight line is a first distance (d1); the distance from the edge of the plate-shaped electrode (2) distant from the standard straight line to the standard straight line is a second distance (d2); the distance from the edge of the shed on the silicone rubber shed housing (6) distant from the standard straight line to the standard straight line is a third distance (d3), d1>d2>d3. Therefore, lightning stroke-caused wire breakage and personal electric shock accidents are prevented.
