Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide an insulin secretion promoter having an action that effectively promotes insulin secretion, an insulin sensitizer having an action that effectively improves insulin resistance, an agent for preventing or improving conditions caused by decreased insulin secretion or insulin resistance having an action that effectively promotes lowering of the blood sugar by effectively promoting insulin secretion and effectively improving insulin resistance, and an activator having an action that elevates the transcription level regulated by GATA. An agent containing one or more compounds selected from compounds represented by formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof as an active ingredient serves as an insulin secretion promoter or insulin sensitizer, an agent for preventing or improving conditions caused by decreased insulin secretion or insulin resistance, or an activator of transcription regulated by GATA.
